If you work in banking or finance and have been hoping for a good opening at a big public sector bank, this one deserved your attention. Bank of Baroda announced 1,100 regular vacancies under Advt No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/17, with 1,000 for Wealth Executive and 100 for Credit Analyst in Corporate & Institutional Credit.
Wealth Executives work in the Wealth Management Services department at scale JMG/S-I, while Credit Analysts sit one step higher at scale MMG/S-II.
The Deadline Has Passed, But Here's the Story
Applications opened on 4 September 2026. The first deadline was 24 September, but the bank pushed it back through an official addendum. The final date to apply, edit and pay the fee became 1 October 2026, and candidates can print their application until 16 October. So if you applied in time, hold on to your printout. If you missed it, don't be too hard on yourself, and read on so you're ready next time.
Who Could Apply for Wealth Executive?
This role is meant for people who already know how to sell financial products. You needed a graduation in any subject plus one valid certification, such as IC 38 or one of the NISM series exams (V A, XXI-A or V-D). On top of that, the bank wanted at least two years of experience selling wealth products at a bank, broking firm, asset management company or wealth management firm. An MBA or a two-year PG management degree was a bonus, not a must. The age range was 22 to 32 years as on 1 September 2026, with extra relaxation for reserved categories.
Who Could Apply for Credit Analyst?
The Credit Analyst post is aimed at chartered accountants who already have some banking behind them. You needed a graduation in any discipline along with a CA qualification, plus at least one year of experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. Corporate credit experience was preferred but not compulsory. The age limit was 21 to 33 years on the same cut-off date.
What Would the Pay and Commitment Look Like?
Selected officers go through a 12-month probation and are expected to stay for three years, or pay an amount equal to three months' gross salary if they leave earlier, capped at Rs 2 lakh for JMG/S-I and Rs 3 lakh for MMG/S-II. Postings can be anywhere in India, so you should be ready to move.
What Did It Cost to Apply?
General, EWS and OBC candidates paid Rs 850, while SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and women paid Rs 175, in each case plus payment gateway charges. The fee is non-refundable, even if you don't get shortlisted, so it was worth double-checking your eligibility before paying.
How Would the Selection Work?
The online test is tentatively split into four sections. English, Reasoning with Quantitative Aptitude, and General, Economic and Banking Awareness have 20 questions each and only need to be cleared.
The Professional Knowledge section has 60 questions, and that's the one that decides your rank. Wrong answers cost 0.25 marks each, and you need at least 60% in the interview if you're General or EWS, or 55% for other reserved categories
