Job Requirement

Educational Qualification

M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a relevant/allied discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by DBT and NIT Silchar.

Desirable Experience

Research experience in microalgae, photobioreactors, CO₂ capture, activated biochar, catalysis, materials characterisation, or related fields.

Job Description

NIT Silchar has announced 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) vacancy for 2026. Candidates with an M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or a relevant discipline with at least 60% marks and aged up to 28 years can apply by email. The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000 on a contractual basis.
