The essential educational qualifications for the Fire Officer post are as follows:

Must be a Graduate from a recognized University or Institution.

Must have undergone 6 (six) months of training in a recognized Fire Training Institute or College.

Should possess a Driving License for Light and Heavy vehicles.

Minimum 3 (three) years of working experience in a supervisory capacity in a large Fire Service Establishment in an Industry or Government Undertaking.

Candidates recommended for interview will have to undergo a Heavy Vehicle driving test.
