If you work in wealth management or investment advisory and have been waiting for a big-bank opportunity, Bank of Baroda has just handed you one. The bank has announced 837 openings in its Wealth Management Services (WMS) department, and applications opened on 4 November 2026. One thing to say clearly before you get your hopes up: this is not a fresher recruitment. You need real relationship management experience to be in the game. Bank of Baroda has released Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20 for 837 contractual positions across five roles. The bulk of the vacancies, 791 to be exact, are for Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager), so that’s where most people will be looking. You can apply online until 24 November 2026, and the posting can be anywhere in India. The application fee is Rs. 850 for UR, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs. 175 for SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and women candidates, plus payment gateway charges. Age, qualification and experience are all counted as on 1 November 2026. By category, the 837 seats break up as UR 346, OBC 224, SC 124, EWS 82 and ST 61. The notification also identifies 35 horizontal PwBD vacancies, which are included in the total and not added on top. The bank can revise the vacancy numbers later. Every post needs a graduation degree in any discipline, plus the right certifications and a good chunk of experience. Here’s how it looks post by post: A few things worth knowing about the big one, the Senior Relationship Manager post: You need graduation in any discipline along with NISM V-A / NISM V-D and/or IRDA IC38 certification. Your three years should be as a Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management, at banks, broking firms, asset management companies or similar financial organisations. An MBA, CFP, CFA or NISM XIII/XXI-A is preferred, not mandatory. Clerical, teaching and training experience doesn’t count, and neither does any stint shorter than six months in one organisation. For the senior posts, Head Investment and Investment Product Manager also need a prescribed NISM certification. If you belong to a reserved category, you get some breathing room on the upper age limit: SC/ST: 5 years OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years PwBD: 10 years (General/EWS), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST) Ex-Servicemen: 5 years (General/EWS), 8 years (OBC), 10 years (SC/ST) Relaxation only applies where the reservation conditions in the notification allow it, so check yours before claiming it. Here’s the honest answer: the bank hasn’t published a fixed salary. Pay will be decided based on your qualifications, experience, last-drawn salary, suitability and market benchmarks for the role. Don’t assume regular Bank of Baroda officer pay scales apply to these contractual posts. This isn’t a permanent banking job, and it helps to know the terms upfront: The engagement is contractual, initially for 5 years. It can be extended by up to another 5 years, based on performance and the bank’s discretion. It can’t go beyond age 60 in any case. Permanent absorption isn’t promised anywhere in the notification. The bank may use a mix of application scrutiny, an online test, a psychometric assessment and a personal interview, followed by document verification, and it hasn’t confirmed that every candidate will go through every stage. The interview is the key hurdle, where you need at least 60% marks if you’re in the General or EWS category and 55% if you’re in a reserved category. No exam or interview dates have been announced yet, so keep checking the careers section of the bank’s website. Get these sorted before you start, so the form doesn’t take all evening: Your updated resume Date of birth proof (Class 10 certificate) Graduation certificates and marksheets, plus your postgraduate certificate if you’re claiming one Your NISM, IRDA, CFP or CFA certificates Experience letters, appointment letters, relieving letters, latest salary slips and CTC details Photo ID, category or PwBD certificates if applicable, and a passport-size photo and scanned signature The photo should be 20 to 50 KB and the signature 10 to 20 KB, both in JPG/JPEG, while supporting documents go up as PDFs of up to 500 KB each. Go to the Bank of Baroda website and open the Careers section, then Current Opportunities. Find Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20 and read it fully. Register with a valid mobile number and email address. Choose the one post you’re eligible for and fill in your education, certification and experience details. Upload your documents, review everything and pay the fee online. Submit before 24 November 2026, then download the application and payment receipt and keep your acknowledgement number safe. Apply for only one position. If you submit multiple applications, only the latest completed one is kept, and the fees for the others are forfeited. Once submitted, nothing can be changed, and the fee is non-refundable.Bank of Baroda Recruitment 2026: 837 Wealth Management Posts Open, and Most Are for Experienced Professionals
