- Assistant Professor in Pedagogy (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, History and Geography): A postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks, a B.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks, and NET/SLET/SET or a Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject, as prescribed by UGC.

- Assistant Professor in Educational Studies: A postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with at least 55% marks and NET/SLET/SET or a Ph.D. in Education, or another qualification prescribed by UGC.

- Desirable qualifications: For Pedagogy posts, an M.Ed. or specialised M.Ed. and a Ph.D. in Education are desirable. For Educational Studies, a master's degree in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology or an allied subject is desirable.
