Age requirement: 35 years old.

50 is the maximum age.

The candidates' dates of birth must fall between July 2, 1975, and July 1, 1990.

According to UPPSC regulations, P.H. candidates' ages are relaxed.

1) Ph.D. + First Class Bachelor's/Master's degree in an AICTE-approved field + 16 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, including 3 years after receiving a Ph.D. and 5 years at the HOD level or higher. (OR) 20 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, including five years at the HOD level or higher, plus a first-class bachelor's or master's degree in an AICTE-approved field.

(2) Preferential If all other qualifications are equal, candidates having either (i) at least two years of Territorial Army service or (ii) a National Cadet Corps "B" certificate will be given preference in direct recruitment.

The U.P. Technical Education (Teaching) Services Examination 2024 is administered by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) in order to fill 21 Principal positions in the U.P. State Technical Education Department. The online application form is filled out by qualified applicants between April 24 and May 26, 2025.
